Constructed in the mid 50's as the home of Col. Joe Mackey, the Beach Club is a historical landmark on South Bimini. Located at the extreme Southwestern tip of South Bimini a 270 degree panoramic view of both the Atlantic Ocean and the Bahamas flats awaits the visitor. To the South is Rabbit Cay, South Rabbit Cay and Round Rock. In the 60's Col. Mackey relinquished his home to expansion including the construction of a large restaurant and bar and a 40 room hotel located on the Western edge of the Island directly overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

On your arrival at the Yacht Club, chances are you'll be greeted personally by Percy Duncombe himself. Percy, a native to the island and a 12-year proprietor of the Yacht Club, now owns the resort franchise with partner Bobby Epstein. The place has been in Percy's family for years.

The South Bimini Yacht Club, located on quiet, laid back South Bimini, is our home base of operations. We offer newly remodeled, waterfront rooms with two or three queen-sized beds, private bath and air conditioning.
